CompsPilot is an information aggregation service. We do not run, sponsor, organise, or endorse any of the competitions listed on our platform. All competitions are operated by independent third parties, except promotions we expressly identify as our own.
This Disclaimer should be read alongside our Terms of Service. It does not exclude or limit any liability we cannot lawfully exclude, including liability for our own negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
1. What CompsPilot does
CompsPilot is a competition aggregation and management platform operated by Ginger Squid Ltd. We provide:
- Information aggregation: we collect and display information about competitions from various public sources.
- Organisation tools: we provide tools to help you track, manage, and organise your competition entries.
- Analytics: we offer insights and statistics about your competition activity.
- Convenience: we make it easier to discover and keep track of competitions in one place.
We are not competition organisers. We do not create, run, judge, or award prizes for any competitions listed on our platform.
2. What CompsPilot does not do
CompsPilot does not:
- run, organise, sponsor, or endorse any competitions;
- select winners or award prizes;
- set competition rules, terms, or entry requirements;
- control competition closing dates or eligibility criteria;
- handle prize fulfilment or delivery;
- resolve disputes between entrants and competition organisers;
- guarantee the accuracy, legitimacy, legality or fairness of any competition;
- guarantee that you will win any prizes; or
- take responsibility for competition organisers' actions or omissions.
3. No guarantees about third-party competitions
3.1 Information accuracy
While we make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we do not guarantee:
- the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of competition information;
- that competitions are still open or accepting entries;
- that competition details, including prizes, closing dates and rules, are correct;
- that competition organisers will honour their stated terms; or
- that competitions are legitimate or legally compliant.
3.2 Competition checks and legitimacy
We may apply automated and/or manual checks to help identify obvious scams, suspicious competitions, poor-quality listings or risky promotions. These checks are not a guarantee, verification, endorsement or legal review of any competition.
We do not verify the legitimacy of all competitions or competition organisers. While we make efforts to exclude obvious scams or fraudulent competitions, we cannot guarantee that all competitions listed are legitimate, legal, or will be conducted fairly.
3.3 No guarantee of results
Using CompsPilot does not guarantee that you will:
- win any competitions or prizes;
- successfully enter competitions;
- receive prizes if you win;
- have your entries accepted by competition organisers; or
- achieve any particular results or outcomes.
4. Your responsibilities
4.1 Verify competition details
You are responsible for:
- verifying competition information directly with the competition organiser;
- reading and understanding the official competition terms and conditions;
- checking closing dates, eligibility requirements and entry methods;
- ensuring you meet all eligibility criteria before entering; and
- confirming that competitions are legitimate before providing personal information.
4.2 Comply with competition rules
When entering competitions, you must:
- follow the official rules and terms set by the competition organiser;
- provide accurate information in your entries;
- respect entry limits and restrictions;
- not use fraudulent or deceptive methods to enter; and
- comply with applicable laws and regulations.
4.3 Protect your personal information
You are responsible for:
- deciding what personal information to share with competition organisers;
- reading competition organisers' privacy policies;
- understanding how your data will be used by third parties;
- protecting yourself from phishing and scam attempts; and
- reporting suspicious competitions to us and relevant authorities.
5. Third-party competitions and websites
5.1 Independent third parties
All competitions listed on CompsPilot are operated by independent third parties. These organisers:
- are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or controlled by CompsPilot or Ginger Squid Ltd;
- set their own terms, conditions, and rules;
- are responsible for prize fulfilment;
- handle their own customer service and support; and
- have their own privacy policies and data practices.
5.2 External links
CompsPilot contains links to third-party websites. When you click these links:
- you are leaving CompsPilot and visiting an external website;
- you are subject to that website's terms of service and privacy policy;
- we are not responsible for the content, practices, or security of external websites; and
- we do not control or endorse third-party websites.
5.3 No agency relationship
CompsPilot is not an agent, representative, or partner of any competition organiser. We do not have authority to act on behalf of competition organisers or bind them to any obligations.
6. Liability and third-party actions
Subject to our Terms of Service and the liability carve-outs that apply under UK law, CompsPilot and Ginger Squid Ltd are not responsible for:
- actions or omissions of competition organisers;
- failure of competition organisers to award prizes or honour their terms;
- changes to competition rules, prizes, or closing dates;
- cancellation or suspension of competitions;
- disputes between you and competition organisers;
- losses resulting from participation in third-party competitions;
- fraudulent, misleading, or illegal competitions operated by third parties;
- privacy breaches or data misuse by competition organisers;
- quality, condition, or delivery of prizes; or
- tax implications of winning prizes.
We are also not responsible for inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated competition information where we have acted with reasonable care and skill and the issue arises from third-party information, changes made by a competition organiser, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
7. Intellectual property
7.1 Third-party content
Competition information, images, logos, and descriptions displayed on CompsPilot are owned by the respective competition organisers or their licensors. We display this content for informational purposes only and do not claim ownership.
7.2 Copyright compliance
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe any content on CompsPilot infringes your copyright, please contact us at support@compspilot.co.uk with details of the alleged infringement.
8. Reporting suspicious competitions
8.1 How to report
If you encounter a competition that appears to be fraudulent, illegal, misleading, inappropriate, offensive, or infringing intellectual property rights, please report it to us at support@compspilot.co.uk with:
- the competition name and URL;
- a description of the issue; and
- any supporting evidence or screenshots.
8.2 Our response
We will assess reports reasonably and may remove, hide or flag competitions where we consider it appropriate. We may prioritise reports based on seriousness, evidence and user risk. Final editorial and safety decisions about whether to list, remove, flag or retain competitions rest with us.
9. Legal and regulatory compliance
9.1 Competition regulations
Competitions may be subject to various UK laws and regulations, including the Gambling Act 2005, the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR, and advertising rules enforced through the Advertising Standards Authority.
Competition organisers are responsible for ensuring their competitions comply with all applicable laws. We are not responsible for verifying legal compliance of every competition listed.
9.2 Age restrictions
Many competitions have age restrictions. You are responsible for ensuring you meet the minimum age requirement before entering. CompsPilot is intended for users aged 18 and over.
9.3 Tax implications
Prizes may have tax implications. You are responsible for understanding and complying with any tax obligations related to prizes you win. We recommend consulting a tax professional if you win significant prizes.

We may update this Competition Disclaimer from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention.
